Hadith

Narrated Abu Huraira (May Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala be pleased with him) -

I heard Allah's Apostle (May Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala be on him) saying, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday)."

Hadith

Narrated Abu Sa'id (raziallahuanhu): The Prophet (Sallalahualaywsallam) said, "Amongst the people preceding your age, there was a man whom Allah had given a lot of money. While he was in his death-bed, he called his sons and said, 'What type of father have I been to you? They replied, 'You have been a good father.' He said, 'I have never done a single good deed; so when I die, burn me, crush my body, and scatter the resulting ashes on a windy day.' His sons did accordingly, but Allah gathered his particles and asked (him), 'What made you do so?' He replied, "Fear of you.' So Allah bestowed His Mercy upon him. (forgave him)."

"Who is next?" The Prophet (May Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala be on him) said, "Your mother." The man further said, "Who is next?" The Prophet (May Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala be on him) said, "Your mother." The man asked for the fourth time, "Who is next?" The Prophet (May Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala be on him) said, "Your father. "

Haraam: Attractions and Distractions

When we are born, the adhaan is given, but there is no prayer. When we die, there is a prayer with no adhaan. That is because the adhaan of our birth belongs to the prayer of our death and that’s how short life is. Don’t get caught up in this dunya, think about the hereafter.

Haraam Attractions and
 Distractions:

Avoid the Temptation

By Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel (Rahmatullahi ‘Alayh)

In an accident, or due to a slip or fall, if the joint of the shoulder or leg is dislocated, traction is normally the means adopted in the healing process.

The sinful, immoral attractions and distractions which form the entertainment of those who have forgotten Allah Ta’ala are such, that they dislocate the joints of Imaan.

…The traction for indulgence in sins is sincere taubah (sincere repentance), distancing oneself from sins and from venues of sins; together with attending good, Deeni programmes and associating with the pious.

…There are so many, so many, who have gone towards some Haraam (forbidden) attraction, never to return therefrom : So many have lost their identity as Muslims, and sometimes they have even lost their Imaan and suffer the loss of their Aakhirah.

Thousands have died engaging in Haraam entertainment; whether at the casinos, discos, raves, prostitute quarters, massage parlours, in adultery, etc.

One earthquake, one tsunami, one gale-force wind, one fire, and death comes upon thousands – many of whom are also engaged in sins. What guarantee do we have that we won’t be singled out this holiday, for our return to Allah Ta’ala?

So think…

And think again!

What would be the condition of that person who comes face to face with the Angel of Death whilst engaged in gambling, drink, dance, raves, adultery or fornication? …Which Muslim wants to return to Allah Ta’ala in a state of sin?

Such matters should not be taken lightly. (Allah Ta’ala protect us all.)

This holiday period is a time of great test and trial : Invitation to sins, promotion of sins, temptation to sins, enticement and encouragement towards all kinds of Haraam is the order of the day.

Beach partying, intermingling and courting, immodest dress, loud music and dance, smoking and drinking and drug-taking then become even the programme and timetable for many Muslims. …Salaah becomes a forgotten duty for holiday-makers. The Islamic dress and identity are discarded so that there is freedom to engage in more sinful activities.

Shaytaan’s trump card to Haraam entertainment is even held up by Muslims, who also invite to Haraam just as the non-Muslims do. …Inna Lillahi wa-inna ilayhi ra`ji-oon.

Is this what we were created for?

Allah Ta’ala asks, “Did you think that We created you for nothing, and that you will not be brought back to Us?” [Surah Mu`minoon 23 : 115]

The shocking behaviour of our Muslim youth (and even many Muslim adults) leaves us numb, disturbed, distressed and deeply, deeply grieved… What shocks does the heart have to contend with.

The Muslim youth are supposed to be tomorrow’s leaders for the Ummah, are expected to be the representatives of Deen, inviting the non-Muslims to Islam, with the modesty and purity of thought, speech, dress and actions which should be characteristic of every Muslim.

Deen and Shariah do not stifle us, do not deprive us of pleasure and enjoyment, do not deny  us happiness and celebration. Deen and Shariah accommodate leisure and pleasure. Islam is beautiful. Most beautiful. Islam is not ‘dry’. It is enjoyable. …Allah Ta’ala has only placed certain boundaries through His Divine prohibitions for our own benefit, safety and well-being.

So let us make the effort and avoid the temptations towards sins. Let us not walk the route towards sins. Let us keep clear of the venues of sins like how we would if we had fore-knowledge that there will be an earthquake, tsunami or bomb-blast devastating such places. …We fear for our lives. The greater need is to fear for our Imaan and that of our children’s Imaan.

Let us not forget that we are Muslims.
Let us not forget our relationship with Allah Ta’ala.
Let us not forget that death can visit very unexpectedly.
Let us not forget that there is accountability.
Let us not forget Jannat.
Let us not forget Jahannum.

This world is a prison for the Believer and a paradise for the disbeliever. … What will be ‘good’ for the disbelievers will not be good for the Believers. If they find enjoyment in Haraam, the Muslim will find HARM in that same Haraam.

Every person is given the choice. A person either makes a wise decision or an unwise decision.

If we adopt Taqwa, we restrain and abstain from disobedience to Allah Ta’ala, then when we leave this world, we leave behind a prison. When we leave this world, we leave free. When the disbeliever leaves this world, he leaves behind his paradise. When he leaves this world, he enters a prison; wherein there is no release, no bail, no escape and no parole.

This worldly life is short. Very short. Understand the reality : Every passing second is delivering us closer and closer to the bridge of death. And there is no choice. We have to cross that bridge.

My Shaykh, Hazrat Maulana Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Saheb (DB) says in poetry:

 “Strange is the visa of life;
It can be cancelled at any time.
The duration of its validity is unknown
      And its extension too, impossible.

Time is running out.

The journey is long. The life after this is eternal. There is no return to this world.

…What preparation have you made? What provision have you procured?

Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) said : “The intelligent one is he who suppresses his desires and practises for what is after death, and the foolish one is he who makes his nafs follow its desires and (he) places (baseless) hope on Allah.”

Imam Shafi (Rahmatullahi ‘alayh) summed up this life very simply and aptly: “This worldly life is a just a moment; let it be a moment of obedience.

USA v Dr. Aafia Siddiqui

Cageprisoners Inside the Courtroom Coverage

by Petra Bartosiewicz

Feb 3, 2010, DAY 12, USA v SIDDIQUI

After a day and a half of deliberation, a 12-member jury found Siddiqui guilty today on charges that she tried to kill a team of U.S. soldiers and FBI agents in Afghanistan in 2008. The verdict was announced just after 2 p.m. in a packed courtroom. Siddiqui remained silent as each juror answered "yes" when asked if she was guilty on all counts. As the jury was ushered from the courtroom, Siddiqui spoke out, saying, "This is a verdict coming from Israel, not America," and then turned to the spectator gallery and said, "Your anger should be directed where it belongs. I can testify to this and I have proof."

Siddiqui now faces up to 50 years in prison on seven charges, including attempted murder, assault, and possession of a firearm while committing a violent crime. The firearm charge alone carries a mandatory minimum of 30 years in prison. Sentencing is set for May 6 in the same courtroom where her nearly three-week trial took place. Within minutes of the verdict news sites and blogs had spread the word of Siddiqui's conviction. The case has been widely reported in the Pakistani press and protests and vigils have been held for Siddiqui in Pakistan. Outside the courthouse, her attorney Elaine Sharp said Siddiqui was "adamant she doesn't want to see any violent protest" as a result of the verdict. Defense attorney Charles Swift told reporters the case was about "fear versus fact," and said that prosecutors portrayed Siddiqui as a terrorist though she was not charged with any terrorism offense. The prosecution team of Christopher LaVigne, David Rody and Jenna Dabbs did not comment publicly. A statement later released by the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York, said the jury had "brought Aafia Siddiqui to justice."

Over the past two days of deliberations jurors periodically sent notes to the judge requesting to see the testimony of various witnesses. At one point they returned to the courtroom to inspect the M-4 rifle Siddiqui is said to have fired at the U.S. team, and the 9mm revolver the U.S. Army chief warrant officer used to shoot her. Periodic laughter could be heard coming from the jury room today as deliberations continued. When jurors sent word that they had reached a verdict, the prosecution and defense teams filed into the courtroom. U.S. Marshals and court security officers ringed the spectator gallery and Siddiqui was brought into the courtroom from the holding cell she has spent much of the trial in. Siddiqui's brother, Mohammed, who has attended every day of the trial and taken detailed notes throughout the proceedings, sat several rows directly behind his sister. At the announcement of the verdict he shook his head and put his notepad back into his suit pocket.

Jurors did not find that the shooting was premeditated, which would have carried a potential life sentence, but Siddiqui may get effectively just that because prosecutors are expected to ask the judge to apply a terrorism enhancement, which will likely push her sentence towards the maximum number of years. In addition to the mandatory 30 years in prison she faces on the firearm charge, she could get as many as 20 years in prison on two charges of attempted murder and assault, as well as 8 years on three lesser assault charges. Her sentence on the attempted murder and assault charges may be served concurrently, but the sentence on the firearms charge must be served consecutively.

Although Siddiqui was not charged with terrorism, prosecutors cast her as a would-be terrorist by introducing documents she was allegedly found with in Ghazni, Afghanistan on July 17, 2008, the day before the shooting incident. The documents, which reference "cells," "dirty bombs" and a "mass casualty attack," and name New York City landmarks like the Empire State Building, were the subject of fierce wrangling by prosecutors and defense attorneys. On the eve of the trial Judge Richard Berman ruled in favor of the prosecution and said they could introduce the documents to show Siddiqui's intent in the shooting. Siddiqui's defense team acknowledged the documents were in her hand, but when Siddiqui took the stand in her defense she did little to clarify where they were from or why she had them, saying only that she had not packed her bag and didn't know how she got them. She later suggested she copied the text on the documents from a magazine. Prosecutors said the documents demonstrated Siddiqui had the "knowledge and the know-how" to attack the U.S. The excerpts shown in court, however, suggested something less than a master terrorist. One page showed a crude sketch of a gun that was described as a "match gun" that operates by lighting a match. In the absence of any counter-narrative from the defense, the documents remained suggestively incriminating and provided a backdrop for the charges. Full page excerpts of the documents were shown in open court on an overhead projector during the trial, but were too distant for those in the spectator gallery to make out the words, and the judge later issued a protective order sealing their contents from public view.

Because the charges against Siddiqui were limited to the shooting in Ghazni, the trial unfolded in a kind of vacuum. Early in the case Siddiqui's defense team suggested she was a victim of the "dark side," picked up by Pakistani or U.S. intelligence, but prosecutors insisted they found no evidence she'd ever been illegally detained. By the time of the trial, no mention was made of Siddiqui's whereabouts during her five missing years. No explanation was given as to why a would-be terrorist would wander around openly with a slew of almost theatrically incriminating materials in her possession. No questions were raised about the whereabouts of her two missing children, one of whom is a U.S. citizen. And yet, references to the backstory came trickling out in ways that must have seemed strange to the jurors, who were given strict instructions not to read anything about Siddiqui or the case. During Siddiqui's testimony she made numerous references to "secret prisons" and "torture." FBI agents also testified that Siddiqui told them she believed her missing children were likely dead, and that she was worried for the safety of her eldest son, with whom she'd been found in Ghazni. Her statements, like her outbursts in the courtroom, were dismissed by prosecutors as calculated attempts to sabotage the proceedings. Her defense attorneys, who made an unsuccessful appeal to the judge to have her blocked from testifying in her defense, said she was mentally unstable. Siddiqui's mental health will likely be a major issue on appeal. After she was brought to the U.S. to face charges in August 2008, the court initially found her mentally incompetent, but after an extensive psychiatric evaluation the decision was reversed and she was deemed fit to stand trial.

Fake Islamic websites...a threat to Islam‏

Undoubtedly current age is age of internet and millions of people use
internet all around the world. Previously internet was used for only
dissemination of information but now it is also being used as
propaganda tool. You can get information about history, sports, religion
any other thing u like from internet, for getting information about
your favorite topic you should have little bit of know how about
internet, you can get loads of information from different websites
present on the internet.

Internet is usefull tool for getting information but in last few years
some criminal minded people are using this wonderfull invention of
science for negative purposes, this is unfortunate but this thing also
happened many times with other great inventions of Science such as
Dynamite which was invented by Alfred Nobel for the benefit of
humanity but we misused it and we are using it for the destruction of
humanity.today.Internet is also being used for wrong purposes such as
spreading Misinformation about Islam. Actually these websites are
production of people having destructive minds who are spreading wrong
interpretation of Islam.

Here interesting thing to note is that whenever we see negative usage
of internet it is always against Muslims which is very regrettable.
There are lots of websites who have poisonous material against Muslims
and Islam. We gave them the name of Fake Islamic websites or Anti
Islamic Websites. Enemies of Islam are trying to deceive Muslims but
actually they are deceiving themselves which is very clearly mentioned
in following verse of Quran

"They seek to deceive Allah and the believers, and in fact, they
deceive not but their own souls, and they perceive not." (Surah Al-Baqara)

The Camel Given In Charity

The Camel Given In Charity

I would like to share this short Story with you which was narrated to us by Dr. Saleh as-Saleh (May Allah Have Mercy upon him) in his room Understanding- islam1. You can listen to the audio The Camel Given In Charity
The Sheikh began:

"Do
you want hear this real story which took place here about a hundred
years ago. (In Saudi) Tayib. This is real! This is real!"

He continued:

"Bismilaahi
Rahmaani Raheem. This story took place here about hundred years ago and
it was also broadcasted on the radio stations. It is about a man call
Ibn Jad'aan. He (Ibn Jad'aan) said how during Spring times he used to
go out. He would see good and healthy fat camels and their udders
filled to the extent of almost exploding. Whenever the little offspring
(i.e. the calf) came close to the mother camel, her milk would pour
forth because of the great abundance of blessings and abundance of
goodness.

So I (Ibn Jad'aan) looked at one of my she camels with
her calf and I remembered my poor neighbour who had seven young
daughters. So I said to myself, by Allah I will give this camel and her
calf as Sadaqah (charity) to my neighbour - and he recited the Ayah
where Allah said in (Surah Al-imraan: 92):

"By no means Shall you Attain piety righteousness unless you spend in Allah's cause of which that you love"

And
the most beloved from amongst my cattle, to me, is this she-camel. So I
took her along with her calf and knocked on the door of my neighbour. I
told him to accept it as a gift from me. I saw his face glooming with
happiness and he was unable to utter anything in response.

So he
benefitted from its milk and used to load wood on its back, awaiting
for its offspring to grow up in order to sell them. Subsequently, he
gained great good from this camel.

After the spring had passed,
the dry summer came with its drought, and so the Bedouins began looking
for water and grass. We gathered our belongings and left our places
looking for water and the duhool (plural of duhul) or 'holes' in the
earth, situated underground leading to water traps underneath the
ground. Their openings are on top of the ground, as the Bedouins know
of very well.

I (i.e. Ibn Jad'aan) entered into one of these holes so as to bring some water to drink...

Dr
Saleh continued: "and his (Ibn Jad'aan's) three sons were waiting for
him outside the hole. However he did not return. His three sons waited
for him for one, two and three days and finally became hopeless.

They
said maybe he was stung by a snake and died or he was lost under the
earth and destroyed. They (and we seek refuge in Allah from this)
waited for his destruction. Why? Due to greed in order to distribute
his inheritance.

So they returned home and divided what he had
left, amongst themselves. Then they remembered that their father (Ibn
Jad'aan) gave a she-camel to their poor neighbour. They went to their
neighbour and told him that it is better that he give them back the
she-camel and take another camel in replace of it, otherwise they will
take it by force and he will be left with nothing.

The
neighbour complained that he would report them to their father. So they
informed him that he had died. He inquired as to how and where Ibn
Jad'aan had died, and why they hadn't told him. They then explained how
he entered into one of these holes underground in the desert and did
not come out.

The neighbour said: " By Allah take me to this
place and take your she-camel and do whatever you do with it and I
don't want your camel in return!"

They took him and when he saw
the place, he went and brought a rope, lit a candle, tied it outside
the duhul (the hole) and then stepped into it crawling on his back
until he reached the places whereby he could crawl and roll. Eventually
the smell of moisture became closer and then all of sudden he heard the
sound of a man by the water groaning and moaning.

He
went closer and closer towards this sound in the darkness putting his
hand out all over until his hand fell onto the man (Ibn Jad'aan). He
checked his breath and he was still breathing after one week! He pulled
him out covering his eyes so as to protect him from the sunlight. He
took with him some dates, moistened them in water and gave it to him to
drink.

He then carried him on his back and took him to his house
and life gradually return to this man whilst his sons didn't know. He
then asked him: "Tell me, by Allah, one week while you were underground
and you didn't die?!"

"I will tell you something strange..." Ibn
Jidaan explained: "...when I went down there I got lost and waves took
me from all directions and I said to myself I'd better stay close to
this water that I have reached. So I started to drink from it, but
hunger had no mercy and water does not suffice. Then after three days
hunger intensified on me and took me from all parts. While I was lying
on my back I surrendered myself to Allah and put all my affairs in his
hands and all of the sudden I felt the warmth of milk pouring onto my
mouth. So I sat in the midst of the darkness and I saw a pot coming
closer to my mouth. I drank from it until I took from what is
sufficient and then it would go! This occurred three times in the day
but the last two days it stopped and I didn't know what happened."

His neighbour then informed him:

"If
you know the reason you will be amazed! Your sons thought you had died
and they came to me and took away the she-camel which Allah (Subhaanahu
Wa Ta'Aala) was giving you from its milk!"

The Muslim is in the shade of his Sadaqah (Charity). Allah stated in (Surah At-Talaaq: 2,3): "...and
whoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to him, he will make a way for
him to get out (from every difficult)" and "...and he will provide him
from (sources) he never could imagine. And who ever puts his trust in
Allah, then he will suffice him".

The True meaning of Life is to Plant Trees under whose shade you do not Expect to Sit.

Seeking To Please Allah

Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 2372 Narrated byThawban
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
When a servant seeks to please Allah and continues to do so, then Allah
Who is Great and Glorious, says to Gabriel, "My servant so and so seeks

"Allah's mercy has descended on so and so," and the bearers of the
Throne and those who are around them say it until the inhabitants of
the seven heavens say it, after which it comes down to him on Earth."
Ahmad transmitted it.

Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 2482 Narrated by AbuHurayrah (May Allah be pleased with him)
Allah's
Messenger (peace be upon him) used to say, " O Allah, grant me benefit
in what Thou hast taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and
increase my knowledge. Praise be to Allah in all circumstances. I seek
refuge in Allah from the state of those who go to Hell."
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a tradition whose isnad is gharib.
